Job Overview

MindWorks Collaborative is seeking an experienced Hearing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting students with hearing impairments.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, family leave, short-term and long-term disability, training and development opportunities, and wellness resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough hearing evaluations on students with suspected hearing impairments, providing accurate diagnoses and recommendations for amplification and assistive technology.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student, ensuring their academic progress and socialization are supported.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure seamless communication and effective support for students.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in audiology, applying this knowledge to provide exceptional services to our students.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree or higher in Audiology, along with current state licensure.
  • Prior experience in child audiology, preferably in a school setting, is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of hearing assistive technology and equipment for students with hearing impairments is necessary.
