Job Summary

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Substitute Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored educational plans that cater to the unique needs of each student
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure seamless instructional strategies and maximize student outcomes
  • Differentiate instruction based on individual student needs, adapting teaching methods to promote inclusive and engaging learning environments
  • Create and maintain safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom settings that foster social-emotional growth and academic success
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required, demonstrating empathy and understanding
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (still applicable for candidates in progress or without completion)
  • Experience working with neurodivergent students, showcasing a deep understanding of their needs and requirements
  • Familiarity with various assessment methods and techniques for tracking student progress, enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Effective classroom management skills, combined with patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing for clear and effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
