Job Title: Automotive Service Director

At Galleria Chevrolet, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Director to lead our Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth in the service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management and daily operations of the Service Department.
  • Motivate and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Ensure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction (CSI) and financial goals.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for the service department and keep dealership management informed of variances.
  • Manage and mentor staff, including recruiting/hiring/training of all employees, overseeing HR/payroll, managing issues of discipline/termination, ensuring ongoing training/education, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies.
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction in all areas.
  • Manage all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' progressively responsible management experience in the automotive service department.
  • General Motors Experience a PLUS
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling.
  • ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification).
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Safety and customer service oriented.
  • Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • ADP Dealer Service experience a PLUS
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with the confidence in your ability to be successful.
  • Great attitude with high-energy personality.
