Job Summary:

As a Weekend Nursing Supervisor with SLP Operations, LLC, you will oversee the day-to-day nursing functions of an assigned area, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants and providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise other professional and non-professional staff in the delivery of resident care, schedule job assignments, and develop nursing unit priorities.
  • Clinical Expertise: Prepare and review medical records, assess residents' physical and emotional status, and provide nursing care according to physician's orders, care plans, and facility policies.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
  • Resident Care: Understand and promote residents' rights, assist with new admissions, transfers, and discharges, and communicate with residents, family members, and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident status.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs and job skills training, and maintain professional competence.
  • Environment and Safety: Monitor environment and care practices to ensure compliance with established safety, fire, disaster, infection control, and other departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
  • Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience is preferred.
