Job Summary:The Weekend RN Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day nursing functions of an assigned area, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants and providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of resident-centered care.
- Prepare and review medical records, assess resident physical and emotional status, and provide nursing care according to physician orders and care plans.
- Coordinate new admissions, transfers, and discharges, and communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident status.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, and maintain accurate records and charting.
- Ensure compliance with established safety, fire, disaster, infection control, and other departmental policies and procedures.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
- Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and work cooperatively with other employees.
- Capable of maintaining regular attendance and meeting local health regulations.
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
