We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonography Technologist to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our Echocardiography department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures on patients, selecting and using transducers according to anatomy and differentiating normal and abnormal structures.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting changes in status.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Registered Sonographer credential
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
  • Required licensure/certification: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Minimum experience: None required
