Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the manufacturing test strategy for new hardware products. You will collaborate closely with the development team and serve as the primary liaison with internal operations and our Contract Manufacturers (CM). Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Product Engineering to establish the test strategy, implement, and enhance test setups/processes at the CM, including the qualification of test fixtures, equipment, and software.
- Working in tandem with design engineers, NPI engineers, and Product Engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) insights throughout the design lifecycle.
- Investigating and resolving yield challenges during both prototype and production phases.
- Deploying and conducting training for Manufacturing Tests and Test Stations at CMs for prototype production.
- Assisting in the development of test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to support onsite production at CMs.
- Exploring and integrating new manufacturing test technologies and methodologies to improve production efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing and operations of electronic devices.
- Demonstrated experience in defining, developing, and implementing manufacturing test strategies for new products.
- Experience in reviewing hardware designs to establish test coverage, ensuring products are manufactured without defects.
- Comprehensive understanding of DFT and DFM methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
- Familiarity with production quality metrics, including Lean manufacturing principles.
- A proven history of successfully launching manufacturing tests for at least two products from concept to production.
- Experience collaborating with International CM Partners.
