POSITION: Housekeeper (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)

COMPENSATION: Hourly Rate, plus Benefits eligibility

OVERVIEW

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that our residents, guests, team members, and vendors experience a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)

  • Ensure cleanliness of office spaces, residential units, laundry facilities, fitness areas, retail sections, and other communal spaces as directed.
  • Thoroughly clean all restrooms, including countertops, mirrors, sinks, toilets, and fixtures in both residential and common areas.
  • Vacuum carpeted surfaces and mop tiled floors as necessary.
  • Spot clean walls and windows to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Dust furniture and dispose of waste in trash receptacles.
  • Clean baseboards, wall art, light fixtures, and HVAC vents.
  • Assist in collecting trash throughout the week.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and household items.
  • Maintain appropriate utility settings in unoccupied units, adhering to community standards.
  • Report any maintenance requests or relevant information to management concerning resident welfare.
  • Perform additional housekeeping tasks or other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the community.
  • Participate in weekly on-call duties as needed.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with team members, residents, customers, vendors, and management.
  • Engage in Cardinal U training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of professional housekeeping experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with residents and team members.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Capability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Competence in completing all assigned tasks safely and effectively, following OSHA standards and community expectations.

While executing the duties of this role, the team member is regularly required to use hands for typing, handling, or feeling, and to communicate verbally. The team member frequently stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, and may climb, stoop, or squat. Incumbents must be able to physically access all areas of the property and amenities and must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet.

The team member must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
