Position Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) plays a pivotal role in strategically guiding the team in the acquisition, creation, and distribution of premium sauces worldwide. Collaborating closely with the CEO and overseeing operational teams, the COO is essential in managing all aspects of food production at Spicin Foods. This role requires a hands-on approach to meet operational and financial objectives while planning for future growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring continuous improvement and execution in food manufacturing, including production, quality control, and compliance.
- Strategic Planning & Product Development: Work with sales to define product direction and lead the implementation of strategic initiatives that align with company goals.
- Financial Oversight: Drive financial performance to meet growth targets, ensuring robust internal systems are in place to safeguard financial health.
- Leadership Development: Recruit, train, and inspire leaders to maximize team potential and ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability, encouraging collaboration and constructive feedback among team members.
- Operational Strategy: Continuously assess operational needs and efficiencies, proactively addressing potential challenges while aligning labor and operational costs with business objectives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing sector.
- A proven track record of managing a profitable food manufacturing operation with full P&L responsibility.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, crucial for gaining consensus on key initiatives.
- A bold leadership style with experience navigating organizational change.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing customer engagement and investment.
- A strategic mindset to diversify and enhance the financial sustainability of the organization.
