Pool Safety Specialist

As a Pool Safety Specialist at the YMCA of San Francisco, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our pool and surrounding area. This includes responding to emergencies, maintaining the pool area, and providing excellent customer service to our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
  • Maintain the pool area, including the office, equipment room, and deck
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and staff
  • Work effectively with members, staff, and volunteers
  • Meet the minimum qualifications and preferred qualifications listed below

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Available to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends
  • Ability to exercise mature judgment and tact
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Y-approved CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Aquatics experience
  • Bilingual skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish
