Position Overview:

Chewy is seeking a Senior Veterinary Learning and Development Trainer to enhance our remote training initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the onboarding journey and ongoing educational programs for our veterinary team. The Senior Trainer will focus on enriching the learning environment while imparting essential knowledge regarding policies, procedures, and company culture. Our goal is to ensure a consistent and impactful training experience that enhances the performance of all veterinary staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive training content to new team members entering the veterinary sector.
  • Utilize blended learning techniques to provide effective and consistent training.
  • Facilitate engaging Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtually Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions.
  • Monitor and report on trainee successes and areas for improvement to management and stakeholders post-training.
  • Provide real-time coaching to trainees, ensuring constructive feedback is delivered positively.
  • Conduct sessions to train future trainers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert to develop and refine training materials tailored to learner needs.
  • Foster engagement through collaborative facilitation while exemplifying a customer-centric culture.
  • Communicate information in an engaging and comprehensible manner.
  • Identify and address gaps in the training experience to support business advancement.

Qualifications:

  • Active Veterinary Technician License/Certification (CVT, LVT, RVT).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in training and educational program development.
  • Over three years of experience in small animal veterinary practice or related fields.
  • Strong facilitation skills with a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Proven ability to guide and mentor new hires through the onboarding process.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate business requirements into actionable training strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for training sessions and corporate events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or high-volume service-oriented environments is a plus.
