As a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Nursing Services is responsible for evaluating nursing practices, spearheading quality enhancement initiatives, integrating clinical services, and overseeing budgetary allocations and staffing resources.
  • Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for Nursing that enhances patient care and quality outcomes, boosts productivity, and aligns with the business objectives of the organization.
  • Designs, implements, and assesses clinical programs and services to ensure alignment with contemporary research, professional standards, and the core mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer, Risk Management, and Quality Assurance teams to promote advancements in clinical quality and safety, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance across the organization.
  • Partners with Human Resources to establish a robust orientation and onboarding program for nursing and support staff, ensuring comprehensive education and maximizing safety and quality in care delivery.
  • Develops nursing advancement and leadership training programs to foster professional growth and opportunities for nursing personnel.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of effective nursing leadership within large, multifaceted organizations with diverse locations.
  • Possesses expertise in assessing, designing, and implementing comprehensive processes aimed at enhancing quality, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of executive-level nursing experience in both clinical and operational leadership roles within an acute care environment, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, and a Master's degree in business, nursing, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel extensively is essential.

Qualifications
  • Implements a Nursing Leadership Practicum for all levels of nursing personnel.
  • Develops and evaluates systems, processes, and care standards to define professional nursing practice, ensuring safe and financially sound patient care delivery.
  • Enhances nursing practice to improve the accessibility, timeliness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of care by identifying priorities and monitoring outcomes.
  • Collaborates with facility leaders to attract and retain a qualified nursing workforce, reviewing educational and workforce development strategies to support recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Identifies, cultivates, and strengthens partnerships between nursing's internal stakeholders and external organizations.
  • Researches and measures key indicators to support evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
