Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Retail Accounting Department to guarantee the precise and prompt distribution of financial management reports, which include internal and external monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and responses to annual audit inquiries.
  • Possess a robust understanding of general ledger operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking functions. The ability to conduct complex analyses and produce insightful financial reports is essential.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, vendor assessments, and tax reporting.
  • Oversee retail accounts receivable management, credit card transactions, reconciliation processes, cash receipt management, and fuel inventory oversight.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
  • Establish and uphold control systems that verify the integrity of all financial systems, processes, and data.
  • Participate in various special projects and compile unique reports as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, clients, and franchisees in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree is preferred)
  • CPA certification is highly regarded
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics GP is advantageous
  • Skilled in account analysis, financial report generation, and understanding of financial principles
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
