Buddys Home Furnishing is seeking a highly skilled Credit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied, and maintaining internal quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Acquire and maintain customers through effective account management and sales strategies
- Act as a customer liaison, reselling the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments
- Assist in managing store personnel, directing activities of one or more employees as needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
- Decipher, prepare, and review store reports to inform business decisions
- Document all customer commitments and maintain accurate records
- Manage customer accounts, including collections and renewals
- Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied
- Prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, and assign tasks to ensure efficient store operations
- Enforce company policy and maintain a professional appearance
- Effective organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Established collection skills and ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Good communication skills and ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to learn and become proficient in POS systems and maintain accurate records
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Two years' experience in Rent-to-Own, retail, or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising
- Ability to lift, load, move, and use a dolly for merchandise 50-300 pounds
- Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics
- Ability to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
