Providence Health Plan: A Leader in Patient-Focused Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Coding Analyst to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon. As a key member of our coding compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed diagnostic coding associated with Risk Adjustment and HCC Coding
  • Impact revenue and CMS compliance through the coordination of technically detailed coding applications
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of ICD-10 and other types of coding to Health Plan, contracted facilities, and providers
  • Identify and research provider diagnostic coding issues, medical record review, documentation standards, and identifying and offering education in relation to provider coding errors
  • Serve in an advisory role in the development of Health Plan Payment Rules to risk adjustment
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience working within a healthcare provider organization or health insurance company
  • Demonstrated experience in project completion, educational program development, and/or group presentation
  • Computer experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • CCS-P, CCS-H, CPC-P, or CPH-H certification
  • CCS, CPC, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA
