Position Overview

Summary
This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of custodial personnel. The supervisor is responsible for training staff and ensuring that all public spaces are maintained to the highest standards set by the company and department. Responsibilities include the upkeep of areas such as the casino, hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and manage tasks, making necessary adjustments based on operational needs during each shift.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all designated areas.
  • Address personnel-related issues, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is operational and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and follow up to confirm completion.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including the removal of trash and debris.
  • Oversee property cleanup, including handling biohazard materials.
  • May perform duties of an attendant as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and standards.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of six months of experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Ability to operate and demonstrate proper use of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.

  • Physical stamina to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Other physical requirements include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage is essential.
  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, such as noise and second-hand smoke, may occur.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses and certifications.
  • Familiarity with the Responsible Gaming Program is required.
