About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team at ResProp Management. As a key member of our leasing team, you will be responsible for leading our leasing consultants in achieving occupancy goals and providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate the leasing consultants to achieve sales targets and occupancy goals
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Accounting and Financial Management
    • Manage resident ledgers, including posting rent payments and issuing charges
    • Initiate lease violations, late rent notices, and evictions as needed
  • Leasing and Sales
    • Assist with the leasing process from tour to move-in, including closing sales and completing lease documents
    • Inspect apartments to ensure a smooth move-in experience for residents
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Build relationships with residents through timely and courteous responses to their needs and concerns
    • Support occupancy and retention goals by following up with potential and current residents
  • Event Planning and Team Development
    • Work with other teammates to plan and organize resident events
    • Train and develop other teammates through on-the-job training and company training
  • Property Maintenance and Inspections
    • Visually inspect and prepare the property for cleanliness, including office, models, and amenity areas
    • Responsible for maintaining work area and office cleanliness
  • Bad Debt Collections and Client Management
    • Responsible for in-house bad debt collections
    • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by meeting with owners and providing updates on community performance
  • Move-Out Process
    • Process resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms and notice requirements
    • Apply deposit and lease cancellation fees as applicable
Requirements
  • At least one year of leasing experience in residential property management
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Cheerful attitude and focus on customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy, able to learn and work with property management applications
  • Strength in sales, leasing, closing, delinquency management, and renewal management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
