Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Weis Markets. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the pharmacy manager to control inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of sales and stock levels.
• Assist with ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
• Weigh, measure, and mix drugs and other medical compounds, and fill bottles with the correct quantity and composition.
• Provide advice to self-medicating patients and dispense non-prescription medications as needed.
• Maintain open communication with health and insurance professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Perform patient immunizations on a regular basis and assist with scheduling and training of pharmacy associates.
• In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, assume leadership responsibilities, including scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and work assignments.
• Assist with ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
• Help control department expenses by monitoring and improving operations, ensuring labor goals are met, and reducing losses due to shrink.
• Respond to customer complaints and questions in a courteous and efficient manner, providing effective counseling on prescription-related issues.
• Identify areas for improvement in customer service and collaborate with the pharmacy manager to address any deficiencies.
• Maintain a safe and clean department through an effective housekeeping program, meeting company, health department, and OSHA standards.
• Ensure smooth department function by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, and continuously improving job performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
• State Pharmacist License
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong leadership and training skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and clean work environment
