Position Overview

A reputable client is seeking an Electrical Controls Specialist to oversee electrical and controls engineering for extensive projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of control system designs.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing control systems from the ground up, including hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Creating electrical panel designs and conducting power calculations.
  • Performing risk assessments and selecting appropriate components.
  • Programming control systems and overseeing their installation and commissioning.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field with relevant experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in the industry.
  • Familiarity with ASTM standards, particularly within the attractions sector, and safety engineering.
  • Proficiency in drafting software, with a preference for AutoCAD.
  • A solid understanding of contract documents and specifications, with the ability to gather and document field data accurately.
  • Experience in performing system design calculations, including but not limited to short circuit protection, harmonics, and load flow analysis.
  • Knowledge of safety system implementation, including SIL/PL ratings.
  • Experience with hardware and software from major industrial manufacturers, such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
  • Familiarity with ethernet-based distributed remote I/O systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
