We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at PharmScript. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting the dispensing pharmacy and contributing to the company's mission of providing safe and accurate medication to those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the processing of daily drug orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Support the packaging, customer service, data entry, narcotics, and IV teams, learning the necessary skills to become a successful pharmacist.
  • Triage incoming phone calls from nursing facilities, providing status or confirmation of medication delivery as needed.
  • Process verbal requests for medication, refill orders, and manage refill requests from multiple sites.
  • Utilize multiple pharmacy applications, adhering to government regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Work independently and as part of a diverse team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in a Doctor of Pharmacy program at an accredited institution.
  • Active Intern Registration with the applicable state.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
