Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient's blood vessels and organs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Optimize the use of radiation to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist patients to the procedure room and provide support during procedures.
  • Advise on the provision of radiology equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
  • May assist in procedures such as angioplasty, biopsies, and image-guided thermal ablation.
  • Evaluate quality assurance performance and monitor performance metrics.
  • Train staff and physicians in relevant aspects of radiation protection.
  • Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A two-year degree in Interventional Radiology or a related field.
  • One year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
