Job Summary:

The Kroger Company is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Security Specialist to join our team. As an Asset Protection Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets and ensuring the safety of our customers and associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detect and deter external theft suspects: Utilize your keen observational skills to identify and prevent external theft attempts, ensuring the security of our stores and assets.
  • Reduce customer and associate dishonesty: Implement and promote actions to minimize customer and associate dishonesty, fostering a culture of integrity and trust within our organization.
  • Monitor large shrink areas in stores: Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of high-risk areas to prevent and detect shrinkage, ensuring the integrity of our inventory and assets.
  • Report incidents to the asset protection manager: Accurately document and report all incidents, including theft attempts and security breaches, to the Asset Protection Manager for prompt action and resolution.
  • Support customer and associate relations: Develop and maintain effective communication and training programs to promote a positive and secure shopping environment, enhancing customer satisfaction and associate engagement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Previous security experience preferred: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building effective relationships with customers, associates, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines is critical for success in this role.
