Position Title: Program Manager

Location: Mountain View, CA

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during regular business hours for Pacific Time. Hybrid model with onsite presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Project Overview:

As a Program Manager within the Shopping organization, you will play a pivotal role in executing cross-departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing experiences and features for both Shoppers and Merchants. You will oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle, which encompasses managing timelines, identifying potential risks, and effectively communicating objectives to all stakeholders involved. Collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, UX, and Analysts within the Shopping teams will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be tasked with comprehensive planning, execution, and oversight of projects and processes, driving continuous improvements across various domains, as well as providing ad-hoc advisory support and guidance to stakeholders regarding best practices in execution.

Primary Daily Duties:

  • Organize and oversee the activities necessary to achieve project outcomes, including defining what needs to be done, who will do it, when it will be completed, and how it will be accomplished. Adjust project parameters (e.g., schedule, staffing, features) to ensure timely delivery of results.
  • Track and communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Collaborate closely with partner teams to manage changes in the program. Align stakeholders on decisions and adapt to changing circumstances. Proactively manage dependencies and deliverables across related projects, teams, and functions.
  • Implement project management tools and processes to enhance development speed, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement through performance measurement, progress tracking, and success metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Program Manager, with proficiency in planning and the ability to identify stakeholders to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives, estimate task durations, and ensure alignment of schedules and dependencies.
  • Experience leveraging various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to optimize team effectiveness.
  • Strong execution and governance skills, with the ability to organize and manage activities leading to project outcomes and adjust parameters to deliver results on time.
  • Effective monitoring and communication of progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively to stakeholders and convey program goals, progress, and health in a manner tailored to their interests and concerns.
  • Understanding of the software product lifecycle and program structuring through phases such as Ideation, Design, Development, Testing, Experimentation, and Rollout.

Compensation: The hourly pay rate for this position is $56, subject to factors including client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, and commuter benefits.
