Job Summary

The Patient Financial Advocate I plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless financial experience for patients and families at Monument Health. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to navigate the patient financial journey, from pre-arrival to post-service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial clearance processes, including price estimations, payment planning, and arrangement.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and internal stakeholders to understand financial, social, and medical requisites.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify long-term resources for funding healthcare services.
  • Counsel patients on out-of-pocket liabilities, including pre and post-service balances.
  • Establish payment arrangements and collect patient financial liability.
  • Communicate financial clearance status and decisions with all relevant parties.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies.
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Administration or Operations Experience; 1+ years Billing/Collections Experience (Preferred).
