Job Summary:

Hitachi is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician II to join our team in Seattle, Washington. As an Assembly Technician II, you will be responsible for conducting engine assembly and maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Engine Assembly and Maintenance: Perform engine assembly and maintenance tasks, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company policy.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new technicians, ensuring they are equipped to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, adhering to company standards.
  • Work Shifts and Overtime: Work shifts and overtime as required, ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager or Assembly Lead.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience in engine assembly or other related disciplines is required.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Meet the skills/knowledge/ability requirements for an Assembly Tech, including proficiency in Cat SIS and ability to follow company instructions and procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50# is required.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment, with regular exposure to machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
