Position Overview

As a Delivery Driver / Installer (HVAC Technician 1), you will thrive in an entrepreneurial and empowering environment that allows you to:

The HVAC Technician 1 role exemplifies professionalism through effective communication and appearance, delivering an outstanding level of service to our clients. This position involves transporting portable HVAC equipment to customers, showcasing skills in the operation and maintenance of all company equipment. Additionally, you will primarily work in the shop to maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety, while learning to check in, clean, and prepare equipment for rental, supporting other technical staff on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment, training authorized operators (and/or customers) on safe equipment usage.
  • Guide customers in signing necessary documentation and track serial numbers.
  • Effectively troubleshoot the operation, functionality, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring it meets operational and aesthetic standards.
  • Complete required paperwork for deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
  • Install flexible gas hoses for both propane and natural gas applications.
  • Implement safe procedures for checking gas connections.
  • Collaborate with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Be available for emergency service calls on a rotating schedule during weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing service role.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • Availability for after-hours and weekend work during peak periods is necessary.

The physical demands of this position include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, as well as working indoors and outdoors as required.
