Job Overview

Reporting Structure

The Lead SAP EWM Consultant will report directly to the Head of Product Applications IT/SAP, located in Switzerland, with a dotted line to the Head of IT, Americas, and will be fully accountable for achieving set goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expert advice on EWM capabilities throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions, along with documentation and end-user training.
  • Participate in or lead the complex configuration, customization, and implementation of SAP EWM solutions tailored to the needs of our process experts.
  • Collaborate with fellow EWM Consultants across our global regions to continuously enhance template warehousing solutions in line with evolving business requirements and SAP's development roadmap.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate EWM with other supply chain systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and TMS (Transportation Management System), all utilizing SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure EWM systems meet quality benchmarks and client expectations while adhering to our global template approach.
  • Conduct training sessions for users and create documentation to facilitate system adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate EWM challenges, leveraging your extensive understanding of system architecture and logistics processes, while reviewing gaps and solutions design.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in EWM and warehouse management technologies, including mobile device and printer solutions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in implementing and supporting SAP EWM solutions (both decentralized and embedded), preferably in a consulting or corporate setting, including at least 2 full-cycle end-to-end implementation experiences.
  • Proficient in EWM requirements gathering and preparation of functional specification documents. Experience in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data migration, and user training during EWM implementations and rollouts is essential.
  • Strong grasp of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics processes, and warehouse technologies.
  • Expertise in EWM configuration, including warehouse structures, master data, RF frameworks, and additional integration knowledge with SAP ERP/modules MM, SD, PP, QM, TM, GTS.
  • Proactive and results-driven: demonstrates a deep understanding of customer expectations and end-user needs; committed to exceeding customer satisfaction; possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Encourages innovative risk-taking: generates unique ideas and has the ability to influence and position new initiatives and innovations; recognized as original and value-added in brainstorming sessions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities: looks beyond the obvious and seeks comprehensive answers, identifies hidden issues, and goes the extra mile.
  • Relevant SAP certifications are preferred; basic knowledge of ABAP / ABAP OO (reading/debugging) is a plus, as well as UI5/Adobe Forms capabilities.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel globally (estimated 20%).
