Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Unified Communications Domain Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Service Management Integration and Transport (SMIT) Contract, you will be responsible for designing and implementing unified communications solutions for the Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing UC solution architectures, including system designs, integrations, and data flows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical thought leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Designing scalable and resilient architectures with a deep understanding of UC, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select UC technologies ensuring compatibility and scalability with existing infrastructure and future needs.
  • Conducting technology assessments, trade studies/analyses of alternatives, proof-of-concepts, and pilots to evaluate new solutions and validate their suitability for Navy environments.
  • Providing occasional Tier 3/Tier 4 support to Operations.
  • Identifying technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer experience.
  • Participating in the Leidos SMIT Engineering Review Board.
  • Collaborating with other DAs in cases of capability overlap areas and collaborating across a number of Engineering and Operations Teams.
  • Reviewing and providing input to Contract Deliverables Requirements List (CDRL) documents.

Requirements

  • Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, presentation/briefing skills; ability to interact with internal Senior-level Managers and Senior Navy Customers.
  • Currently possess and ability to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
  • Ability to review requirements, comprehend, and solution capabilities that satisfy customer requirements.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, forward thinking, and innovation-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced/Professional level vendor certifications (Cisco, Ribbon, Avaya, etc...).
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML experience, Cameo Systems Modeler.
