Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Solutions Architect, VP to join our Enterprise Operations & Technology team. As a strategic professional, you will be responsible for architecting robust customer-facing and internal applications that drive business growth and reputation. You will work closely with a team of experienced application developers and project managers to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate delivery through new technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects.
  • Develop technology roadmaps, keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommend business directions based on these technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and develop components of, or the overall systems design.
  • Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
  • Apply hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces.
  • Provide integrated systems planning and recommend innovative technologies that will enhance the current system.
  • Recommend appropriate desktop, computer platform, and communication links required to support IT goals and strategy.
  • Exhibit good knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and good understanding of competitors' products and services.
  • Act as an advisor or mentor to junior team members.
  • Perform other job duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology with 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to develop working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly.
  • Methodical, attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
  • API design/development including underlying technologies (XSLT, SOAP, REST, JSON, Swagger, YAML).
  • Domain-Driven Design.
  • Micro-services development (SpringBoot, Eureka, Zuul, Resilience4j, node.js).
  • Cloud hosting providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Open Shift).
  • Containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Browser and Mobile application development with a variety of technologies (iOS, Android, Swift, Objective-C, Java, Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, Javascript, Bootstrap, Angular, React).
  • Integration middleware technologies (TIBCO Business Works/EMS, MQ, zOS Connect, Solace, Kafka) and message protocols/formats (JMS, SOAP, JSON, XML).
  • Security concepts and technologies related to authentication (MFA, risk-based authentication, biometrics, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), authorization, encryption, data protection, threat prevention, and S-SDLC best practices including one-time-password (OTP), SSL, PKI, DDoS remediation, anti-malware detection, and application scanning.
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Architecture governance such as IT Strategies, Technology and Application Roadmaps, Application Portfolio Management, Technology Standards Management, and API Governance.
  • Business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning technologies including SAS, R, Teradata, Hadoop, data science and visualization tools.
  • Formal training in application architecture methodologies, standards, and patterns.
  • Architecture experience in Citi or other related banking industry role.
