About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Data Architect to join our team at FIS. As a key member of our Wealth and Retirement Administration division, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the architecture for our global fintech platforms.

As an IT Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining a library of functional component models within and across FIS product lines. You will also document and publish architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks.

Additionally, you will define and maintain a catalogue of reusable functional application components consumable across applications and product lines. You will review functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements and act as a tie-breaker on design decisions.

Key responsibilities will include documenting and communicating opportunities to leverage inter-project synergies, application, and enterprise software or infrastructure asset re-use and opportunities to expose application assets for enterprise consumption. You will also communicate system architecture to technical and business audiences and evaluate current data architecture and databases to determine needed upgrades and improvements.

Other key responsibilities will include creating end-to-end models and plans for data consumption and analysis, designing new data architecture, integrating existing databases, ensuring all data structures are in strict compliance with FIS and industry standards, and maintaining security of the database.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Data Architect with a strong background in cloud computing, software solutions architecture, and digital transformation. You will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Key qualifications will include a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an architect capacity, in-depth knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, including waterfall and Agile, and proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.

You will also have outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills, and the ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.
