LPN Hospital III-Preadmission Services

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Preadmission Services team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgery by obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting blood samples.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
- Document patient history and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
- Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing and venipuncture for lab testing
- Prescribe medications and maintain patient charts
- Adhere to Albany Medical Center's regulatory compliance issues
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- LPN licensure in the State of New York required
- Standing and walking frequently
- Lifting and carrying occasionally
- Exposure to noise and hazards
