Key Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance benefits and check for pre-certification, authorization, and referral requirements
  • Provide professional, quality customer service and timely resolution to customer problems
  • Secure patient signatures for required hospital forms and collection of patient's financial responsibility when required
  • Communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients, physicians, physician office staff, and other hospital colleagues
  • Rotate into various areas of patient access and work a variety of shifts
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Associate degree (preferred)
  • Minimum one year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service
