The University of South Carolina is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Development Coordinator to join the Literacy Development of Diverse Learners Lab.About the Role
This position involves contributing to research projects by managing laboratory operations, including database management, preparing reports for families and funding agencies, assisting with outreach and recruitment, coordinating with study collaborators, training and supervising graduate and undergraduate research assistants, and ensuring IRB compliance. The role may require travel for participant assessments or conference attendance.Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree. While prior work experience is not required, it may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred qualifications include Spanish language proficiency, experience interpreting and interacting with Spanish-speaking parents of school-age children, and prior experience entering data in Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap).Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will supervise and conduct data collection by administering assessments to children in schools, traveling to schools, and communicating with team members. They will train and mentor employees in best practices of assessment administration while working with children in schools. Additionally, the coordinator will report data daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure consistency and compliance with program goals. They will also supervise and mentor the research team, monitoring daily activities and data collection, meeting with the team regularly to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Furthermore, they will collaborate with the Primary Investigator to make progress on project goals as indicated by the grant and directed by the primary award site, supporting the Primary Investigator with written and verbal communication as needed.What We Offer
The University of South Carolina offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, to support a successful candidate.-
