Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Room Attendant is to maintain cleanliness and order in guest accommodations to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning a designated number of guest rooms during each shift. This includes removing used linens and towels, and replacing them with fresh items.
  • Thoroughly cleans, dusts, and sanitizes all areas of the guest room, including the bedroom, living area, dining area, and bathroom, adhering to established protocols.
  • Ensures beds are made to hotel standards and carpets are vacuumed, along with cleaning marble and tile surfaces.
  • Handles the removal of room service trays, dishes, and carts to designated service areas.
  • Restocks amenities such as toiletries, stationery, and other guest supplies as needed.
  • Adheres to company policies and standards of conduct.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Performs additional housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • No formal education is required; however, a high school diploma is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy are essential for performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to clean assigned rooms in accordance with hotel standards, including the ability to lift and carry loads up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and perform various physical tasks as required.
