Research Compliance Manager

Auburn University's Office of the Sr. Vice President for Research and Economic Development is seeking a highly skilled Research Compliance Manager to oversee and manage a unified program(s) related to animal care and use, or biological hazards. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the regulatory environment, coordinating institutional self-assessments, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws, and institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage a unified program(s) related to animal care and use, or biological hazards.
- Monitor the regulatory environment and coordinate institutional self-assessments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws, and institutional policies.
- Review and approve protocols, authorizations, or disclosures for compliance with regulations, laws, and policies.
- Provide training and education to personnel on research compliance.
- Participate in campus-wide post-approval monitoring program.
- Advise investigators on compliance regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years of professional experience related to contracts, grants, law, nursing, medicine, vet medicine, animal sciences, human or animal research.
- At least 1 year of experience supervising, mentoring, or leading others.
- Experience in Higher Education.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with HURON Electronic Research Administration System.
- Animal Care and Use Program Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA).
