Urology Care Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute is renowned for its excellence in patient care. We invite you to become a vital member of our G90 Urology Surgical Care Unit as a Urology Care Nurse, where you will thrive in a collaborative atmosphere that values each team member's contributions.
In this role, you will provide care for adult patients with a range of intricate health conditions, including those recovering from surgical procedures such as radical nephrectomies. Your expertise will be essential in delivering specialized care tailored to their unique needs.
This position offers a remarkable opportunity for a nursing professional to engage with a diverse patient population while developing specialized skills within our highly regarded Urology institute.
Shift Details: This role is available for Day/Night rotating shifts (every 6 weeks) or Night shifts. Our nursing staff rotates every other weekend and holiday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care following established protocols and procedures.
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Document and assess patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as per nursing protocols.
- Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Provide educational resources and validate patient understanding.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
Personal Protective Equipment: Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
