Job Title: Senior Technical Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Advisor to join our team at StratasCorp. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in guiding our customers' digital transformation efforts.

Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Advisor will work closely with our customers to identify opportunities to achieve mission goals through the effective use of Information Technology (IT) solutions, process improvements, and new investments. You will develop and implement strategic recommendations to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise customers and project leadership on opportunities to achieve mission goals with IT solutions, process improvements, and new investments.
  • Work alongside project leadership to advise customers on strategies that support afloat operations, including shipboard network upgrades, Network Operations Center (NOC) cloud migration, and the introduction of new technology or processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement methods to drive participation from across the organization.
  • Hold workshops with customer leaders and project staff to capture specific visions, goals, and objectives that the project team must achieve in support of MSC's mission.
  • Collaborate with MSC's engineering and operations teams to document and communicate issues and challenges that impact performance.
  • Develop specific and strategic recommendations, such as briefings, architectures, and roadmaps, based on engineering, operations, and other data collected through collaboration.
  • Collaborate with external hardware, software, and professional services organizations to identify solutions and methodologies that support customer goals.
  • Manage staff as they gather data, document processes, create designs, and develop recommendations that are incorporated into your strategic inputs.
  • Develop high-quality communications materials and lead internal and customer-facing meetings and briefings.
Requirements:
  • Experience conducting IT strategy assessments and documenting both as-is and to-be targets.
  • Past experience developing key performance indicators and working with organizational data (i.e., operational data, project data) to articulate recommendations.
  • Experience leading leadership workshops that capture and articulate goals, strategies, and challenges.
  • Experience gathering goal/objective information, evaluating it against customer needs, and developing roadmaps and other deliverables to graphically articulate a vision.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to show technical expertise and perform deep-dive technical activities with application, data, and infrastructure teams, as needed.
  • Must possess an active SECRET clearance.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
