Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Scheduler will be tasked with coordinating all production resources to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders while enhancing operational productivity.

Essential Competencies
  • Experience in continuous production environments.
  • Proficient in scheduling software and production/inventory management systems.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with common software applications.
Behavioral Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with various management levels and production teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Technical Skills
  • APICS Certification is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing context.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create Macros.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Plan the production of all products to align with customer shipping requests.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and maximize throughput by organizing production runs of similar items.
  • Assist in the procurement of raw materials and packaging alongside the supply chain manager.
  • Manage inventory levels of finished goods to comply with company policies and financial objectives.
  • Facilitate R&D requests for sample materials by scheduling and coordinating trial runs.
  • Support supply chain operations by aiding in month-end processes and physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare weekly capacity reports for review with sales and manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor daily production metrics (yield, uptime, material usage) and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Be available for on-call support as required.
  • Provide assistance to other resources as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Three to five years of prior experience in production planning.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment for extended periods.
  • Primarily sedentary with frequent walking and standing.
