We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Design Lead to join our team at FuelCell Energy. This position offers a competitive salary range of $123,448 - $135,000 and is located in Danbury, Connecticut. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing custom equipment, managing fabrication processes, and ensuring delivery of high-quality equipment according to project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and utilize mathematical models to aid in design of fuel cell components and fuel-cell based systems
  • Analyze designs utilizing a combination of engineering calculations, computer-aided engineering tools (FEA software such as Nastran or Ansys), and/or analyses of test data
  • Advise on material selections, including high temperature metal alloys, ceramics, and insulation

The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of progressive experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in a related role. Experience with ANSYS Fluent CFD software, fuel cell stack interface hardware, and Autodesk Inventor CAD software is also required.
