Astec Industries is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and product lines, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Conduct design for manufacture assessments to ensure products are optimized for production and meet cost objectives.
  • Develop and maintain engineering design standards and drawing standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source components and materials.
  • Administer design history and practice proper engineering document control processes to ensure drawings are up to date.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in assembly engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly line processes.
  • Continuous improvement and Lean practice experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoDesk Design Suite, or equivalent.
