Momentum WORK, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Lead Crew Coach, Harbor. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully mentoring individuals with developmental and/or other disabilities.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure takes into account the cost of living in the region and industry standards for similar positions.

Job Description:
  • As a Lead Crew Coach, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the Harbor Crew, providing vocational training to individuals served by Momentum WORK, Inc., and ensuring that contract specifications are met and exceeded.
  • You will support the Harbor Crew Manager by assisting with payroll when needed and helping to ensure that GSE ID Notes and attendance documentation is completed and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of professionalism and expertise as a Crew Coach
  • Support decision-making about schedule changes, work assignments, and unusual situations that may arise
  • Ensure all coaches and crew members have received proper training and understand their job duties
  • Review and verify accuracy of paperwork, including daily attendance sheets, time sheets, and ID notes
  • Provide initial orientation and ongoing safety training
  • Act as a liaison with community partners, including Harbor Maintenance, Harbor Patrol, Waterfront Department, and harbor community members
  • Attend in-service training, staff meetings, and safety meetings
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Conduct individualized training for skill and work habit development
  • Supervise and monitor the successful completion of contract specifications
  • Comply with all Momentum WORK, Inc. and CARF policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., education, social work)
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding persons served and related information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions
  • Compassion and respect for individuals with disabilities
  • Valid CA Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Valid certification in CPR/First Aid
