Position Overview

The Electrophysiology Technician plays a crucial role in the management and execution of electrophysiology procedures within a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires a strong foundation in cardiovascular technology and a commitment to patient care.

Certification Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field.
  • RCIS/RCES certification is mandatory.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and related disease processes is essential.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct adult cardiac catheterization, manage cardiac devices, and assist in electrophysiology and structural heart procedures.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure accurate medication charges and reporting of daily procedural loads.
  • Provide emergent care as needed and handle administrative tasks such as inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding procedure room preparedness.
Work Schedule
  • Typical shifts are from 7 AM to 5 PM, with potential fluctuations based on departmental needs.
  • On-call duties, including weekends and holidays, may be part of the role.
  • Orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, and will include EPIC training.
Additional Information
  • Candidates must not have been employed by the organization for the past 12 months to qualify for this travel position.
  • Travelers may be required to float within the facility and to nearby locations.
  • State tax obligations will be managed through the agency and reflected in invoicing.
