Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our dedicated team at ALLIED Presbyterian Hospital. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional care in the field of cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions.

Certification Requirements
  • Educational Background: An Associate's Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in adult Cath lab diagnostics, interventional procedures, or Electrophysiology is preferred.
  • Certifications: RCIS/RCES certification is mandatory. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are also required.
  • Knowledge Base: Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and the principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform adult cardiac catheterization, manage cardiac devices, and assist in Electrophysiology and/or Structural Heart procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure precise medication charges while reporting daily procedural case loads.
  • Provide emergent care as needed and handle administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining lab inventory.
  • Ensure the preparedness of procedure rooms and compliance with PHS, local, and federal regulations.
Work Schedule
  • Shifts: Typical shifts are from 7 AM to 5 PM, with potential fluctuations based on departmental needs.
  • On-Call Requirements: Availability for on-call duties, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.
  • Orientation: Initial orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, including EPIC training.
Additional Information
  • Travelers must not have been employed by the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for the past 12 months to be eligible for this position.
  • Travelers may be required to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their assigned location.
  • State tax obligations will be managed through your agency and reflected on your invoice.
