  • Order and maintain adequate medical supplies for laboratory procedures
  • Adhere to universal protocol precautions when disposing of contaminated items
  • Prepare, package, and transport lab specimens to appropriate destinations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program
  • Certification as a Phlebotomist or completion of Introduction to Phlebotomy and Clinical Phlebotomy coursework from an accredited school
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, departments, and the general public
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted
  • Exposure to blood and various diseases
