Opportunity for a Physician Assistant in Pain Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at an outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in pain management and be passionate about improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and reviewing diagnostic tests related to pain conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Prescribe medications, including pain management medications, within the PA's scope of practice and state regulations.
  • Administer and/or assist with interventional pain management techniques such as nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and joint injections.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication use, and lifestyle changes to improve quality of life.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and response to therapy.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for patients with complex pain conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in pain management therapies, medications, and procedures.
