We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Samaritan Clinics. In this role, you will operate within your professional scope under the guidance of a Medical Doctor, playing a vital role in the delivery of patient care and executing assigned responsibilities. A solid understanding of modern nursing practices and skills relevant to your clinical area is essential. This position reports to the Clinic Director of Operations and collaborates closely with various departments and personnel to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
This is a part-time role, with availability required during weekdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and gather data, focusing on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive aspects of patients.
- Deliver care consistently and knowledgeably, adhering to established procedures, policies, and care plans.
- Identify and address the learning needs of patients and their families, providing education as outlined in care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records, following policy and regulatory standards.
- Exhibit awareness and sensitivity to the rights of patients and their families, ensuring equitable treatment for all.
- Effectively delegate patient care tasks and supervise team members as needed.
- Utilize critical thinking to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities, including delegating assignments and coordinating staff coverage.
- Engage in professional development through workshops and seminars to stay updated on industry trends.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures.
- Comply with organizational policies and labor agreements.
- Foster positive interactions with team members and support staff in alignment with organizational values.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to appearance standards.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Washington State.
- Preferred experience in acute care nursing, with a minimum of one year in specialty areas.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
- Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and manage equipment for extended periods.
- Physical strength to perform CPR and assist with patient mobility.
- Strong mental acuity for patient assessment and decision-making.
- Good visual acuity for monitoring patient conditions and documentation.
- Emotional resilience to manage high-stress situations.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Accountability in professional practice.
- Ability to manage crises effectively.
- Competency in caring for patients across all age groups.
