Position Summary:

As a Java Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, defect-free solutions. Your responsibilities will include comprehending requirements, designing technical solutions, and executing the development, testing, and implementation of Java-based applications.

Compensation: Salary range of $60,000 to $130,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Experience Levels: Positions are categorized by experience: Junior (0-3 years), Mid-level (3-6 years), and Senior (6+ years).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, test, and debug software applications of varying complexity.
  2. Identify and resolve bugs or defects in production code, utilizing analytical skills to ensure optimal application performance.
  3. Collaborate with an Agile team to design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable software solutions.
  4. Maintain code quality through reviews, adherence to coding standards, and integration practices.
  5. Work with cross-functional Agile teams to address project challenges and exceed client expectations.
  6. Conduct knowledge sharing and training sessions for stakeholders.
  7. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and technical teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Must possess a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Certifications: Security + CE is mandatory.
  • Education: An Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Java/J2EE software development, including custom application coding, testing, and deployment.
    • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and understanding design principles.
    • Familiarity with web application frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
    • Knowledge of Database Technologies like Oracle and SQLServer.
    • Skilled in web frontend technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX.
    • Experience with MuleSoft is advantageous but not essential.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork.
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Execution Skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly, fostering successful project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Personnel Security is a plus.
  • Previous work with DoD systems is beneficial.
