Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician

USA DeBusk, LLC is a leading provider of mechanical and industrial cleaning services specializing in the downstream energy market. We offer comprehensive maintenance and turnaround services to clients across the globe.
We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all types of company-owned vehicles, including gasoline, diesel, electric, and propane-powered units.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform advanced computer diagnostics, troubleshooting, and develop repair plans for complex issues
- Conduct DOT inspections and evaluate the performance of drive train components, work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, steering systems
- Repair parts of bodies, i.e., doors, landing gear, etc., on a minor and emergency basis
- Install, adjust or align wheels and wheel components such as bearings and air brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of air/electric/hydraulic brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems
- Maintain strict adherence to safe working practices, company policies, rules, and regulations, correct obvious hazards, or report to supervisor if not immediately correctable
- Demonstrate expertise in vehicle body control systems, including electronics, AC and hydraulic systems, light/Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks Diesel Engines, Cat/Cummins Engines, Transmissions, 12/24 Volt vehicle electrical systems/Water Blasting Equipment/Heavy Duty Vacuum Trucks/Air Machines
- Perform preventative maintenance on all units as scheduled and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum 3 plus years of heavy-duty equipment repair experience/training
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
- Current CDL and TWIC card a plus may be required to travel
- Must have own tools/transportation and be reliable and hard working
- Technical Institute Training or equivalent work experience and training is not a must, but favorable
- Capability to do electrical wiring
- Basic understanding of OSHA, Fire Protection regulations & fall protection is not a must, but favorable
- Familiarity with safety, personal protective, and equipment policies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle large tools
- Able to climb on and off equipment, ascend and descend ladders
- Able to stand, kneel, or crawl; perform all essential job duties
- All weather conditions (indoor & outdoor), including high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet, and snow
- Daylight, twilight, evening, and dark lighting conditions
- Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
- Varying work hours daily due to business needs
