Project Controls Engineer I

North Wind Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for assisting project managers and managing project schedules and costs to provide a forward-looking analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain project performance baselines, including scope, assumptions, deliverables, and integrated critical path schedules.
- Assist project managers in determining activity sequencing and durations, and identify milestones to support project schedules.
- Establish Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance standards, controls, and reporting based on project planning strategies.
- Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties.
- Prepare schedule, staffing, and quantity progress and performance reports for assigned projects.
- Manage assigned projects and maintain cost and schedule data, projections, reports, and other activities during project performance.
- Support project managers in managing procurement actions, including accruals, invoicing, and costing.
- Perform forward-looking analysis on projects, develop accurate Estimate at Completion for detailed project completion costs, and perform monthly project fee analyses using various techniques.
- Seek continuous improvement and enhancements of current project management methodologies.
- Identify cost trends for management attention and ensure works are complete as scheduled.
- Track and review change orders, ensuring they are analyzed and factored into the EAC/fee profit analyst.
- Formulate effective communications and reporting requirements to define the current status of a project in relation to the project performance baseline and reasons for deviation.
- Bachelor's degree in management, finance, or a related area of discipline.
- 0-2 years of demonstrated project control experience on engineering, environmental, and construction projects, including cost estimates to completion using bottoms-up ETC analysis and forecasting using other PMI-approved methods.
- EcoSys experience.
- Financial background.
This position is a sedentary role, requiring sitting for long periods, with occasional standing, walking, and talking or hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
