Job Summary:

The Oak View Group is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and personability in all interactions with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve beverages to company standards, including pouring drinks responsibly and maintaining a clean and sanitary work station.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system, maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service, prioritizing tasks and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and ensure it is clean and well-maintained, adhering to company standards.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including setup and breakdown of equipment, and assisting with organization of the cooler.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Six months or more experience as a Barista.
  • Cash Handling Skills: Accurate cash handling skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Scheduling: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
  • Food Handler Certificate: Food Handler Certificate preferred.
  • Bartending Experience: Bartending experience is helpful but not required.
